Ahh the bus. A whole hour to let my mind wander aimlessly around. So what do i decide this morning, after a monday night spent at the pub until kicking out time? I decide i want a blog, of all things, a blog, not paracetamol or a coffee, no, a blog.
You see, there is so much random crap that floats around in my mind, i feel as if i need to upload some of it, "back it up" in a sense... and these aren't the kind of thoughts and ramblings for mybook or facespace or whatever else it is.
So, i'm on the bus, and a girl gets on with one of those belts that says "Jesus loves you" across it in tacky studs. I think to myself, you've probably never even opened, looked at or even smelled a bible in you're 17 and a half years of existance, and now your hips are proclaiming that Jesus loves me! A few years ago, that would be something only the crazy man handing out moth-eaten leaflets telling me how i'll burn in hell outside the shopping center would want to wear. But today, a teenage girl, who most likely couldn't tell you one thing about jesus (apart from "he loves you") think's its a cool belt, and wears it proudly. I suddenly had the urge to make a belt that says "if Jesus existed, he wouldn't love you, of all people" and shortly following that urge, i had another, to tell the world this thought. Ask the world, "is it just me that thinks this?"
So here it is. In the form of a blog.
Also, on a widely believed note, What has happened to the internet? I remember when the internet was for things like, finding out how peanuts grow, looking at slowly loading nudey pictures or watching videos of young ladies doing unspeakable things in a cup! Not being the basis of meaningless friendships and relationships, being the only time and place you actually bother to communicate with anyone. A tool for adopting a pixelated goldfish called Bob and growing and harvesting pixelated pineapples, no matter how old or mature you are. Then you spend all day worrying that you're crops have wilted, or Bob is sadly floating on his back with little crosses for eyes, as if it's important.
I mean no offence to people who do these things, I do them too! For most people it's probably pretty hard to help yourself finding Bob amusing, or the idea of being a virtual farmer exciting. And as for communicating with people, well it's just hell of a lot easier and cheaper than going out and actually doing something with somebody, isn't it? Why go to the pub for a chat, when you can sit in the comfort of you're own home drinking anything you like, for a fraction of the price and catching up with a friend using nothing but you're beloved PC.
Just think, in a few years time, everything will probably have been replaced by a virtual replica of the once real thing.
In conclusion, love the age we live in. It's so quick and easy to do whatever your heart desires!
